Obituary of Winifred Bourne

Winifred M. Bourne, 84, of City of Poughkeepsie, NY, and previously of Peekskill, NY, died on March 6, 2010 at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was the co-owner of Rocks & Minerals Magazine in Peekskill, NY. She retired in 1980. Winifred was a 28 year Poughkeepsie resident and a member of the V.F.W. in Poughkeepsie. She was a member of the Assumption Church of Peekskill, NY. Winifred loved to do puzzles and go to Rock and Mineral Conventions throughout the country. She was born in Katonah, NY on February 4, 1926 to Leroy Lent and Lillian Banker. She attended schools in Peekskill, NY. Winifred was the beloved mother of two daughters: Barbara Larsen of Poughkeepsie, NY and Kathy L. Neidhardt and her husband Gary of Davidson, MI. She is also survived by two grandchildren: Gary J. Neidhardt of Ohio and Nichole Ann of Michigan, as well as three great grandchildren: Melissa, Gary and Faith Raymond Young stepbrother, of Peekskill, NY and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be on Saturday March 13, 2010 from 2 to 4pm, with a Prayer service at 3pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
