Obituary of Jerry Cordova

Jerry A Cordova, 86 of Pleasant Valley, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Lutheran Care Center. A local resident since 1998, he had previously resided in New Fairfield, CT. He had worked in the Maintenance Department at Readers Digest. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was born in New York on November 14, 1923. On August 10th in the Bronx, NY. She predeceased her husband on March 18, 2000. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Miano of New Milford, CT; his son and daughter in law, Jerry A. and Lena Cordova of Pleasant Valley; his grandchildren, Michelle, Albert and Linda Miano and, Steven and Samantha Amoroso as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, New Fairfield, CT. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. of the American Cancer Society.
