Obituary of Sharon Crawford

Sharon Warringer Crawford, 62, a lifelong area resident, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009 after a long illness at St.. Francis Hospital. Born on Sept. 2, 1947, in Poughkeepsie, she was the loving daughter of Reginald and Edna Warringer. She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and worked at Vassar Brothers Medical Center for 34 years. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Poughkeepsie. She was predeceased by her dear husband, Douglas H. Crawford. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Heather L. Crawford. She is also survived by her brother, Raymond and his wife, Barbara Warringer; her mother-in-law, Jean Crawford; sistersó in-law, Cheryl Drews and Susan and her husband, Thomas Noyes. Aunt Sharon was a favorite among her nieces, Rachel and her husband, Donald Haberski; Emily and her husband Dimitri Matthews,; Chelsea Noyes and her nephew, Alex Noyes as well as great niece and nephew, Katelyn and Ryan Haberski, as well an many cousins. Sharon was a wonderful mother and enjoyed life, even amidst its challenges. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Oct. 23,2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. Funeral services will be held at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery Chapel, 342 South Ave., Poughkeepsie on Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow funeral services. Memorial donations may be made to the Faith Assembly of God or First Baptist Church, both of Poughkeepsie.
