Obituary of Pauline Cummings-Vivas

Pauline Cummings-Vivas, 51, of Millbrook, died at home on Thursday, July 2, 2009. She was born on Sept. 19, 1957 in Poughkeepsie, the daughter of Richard and Dolce Lee Cummings. A graduate of Poughkeepsie schools, she attended College at Oswego. Pauline was employed at Dutchess Community College as an administrative assistant in the Instructional Media Department. She was a very caring person and her family was everything to her. On Feb. 15, 1996 at the Central Baptist Church, Pauline married William Vivas who survives at home. She is also survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Chante Vivas and Peter Law; a grandson, Adrial Nehemiah Law; a sister, LeMarr Cummings; a nephew, Noel Cummings, and a niece, Nedra Cummings; two God Sons, Rakeem and Aaron and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Pauline was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Richard Cummings, Jr. Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 10, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at the Nine Partners Cemetery in Millbrook.
