Obituary of Marion Duncan

Marion VanNorstrand Duncan, 85, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2009 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. A lifelong area resident, she was employed as a Color Artist at Western Printing. She attended Holy Trinity Church. Born in Poughkeepsie on May 23, 1923, she was the daughter of Albert and Alma Hall VanNorstrand. She married William H. Duncan in Philadelphia, PA. He predeceased her in 1963. She is survived by her son, Stephen C. Duncan of Poughkeepsie; her daughter, Deborah Muellerleile of Poughkeepsie; her grandchildren, Stephen G. Duncan, Richard Muellerleile, Maribeth S. Muellerleile, Scott Duncan; her great-granddaughter, Gianna Muellerleile and her brothers, Francis VanNorstrand of Wappingers Falls and Albert VanNorstrand of Poughkeepsie. She was predeceased by other brothers and sisters. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 9:45 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main St., Poughkeepsie. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, LaGrange Ave., Poughkeepsie. Arrangements under the direction of the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie.
