Obituary of Joseph W. Flynn

Joseph W. Flynn, 42, of Salt Point, passed away at home on Monday, May 17, 2010. A lifelong area resident, he was a self-employed Carpenter. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Millbrook and the Poughkeepsie Elks #275. He loved to fish, hunt and ride motorcycles. Born in Sharon, CT on July 11, 1967, he was the son of William F. and Dorothy Leon Flynn. He was a graduate of Millbrook High School. He is survived by his son, Joseph T. Flynn, and his daughter, Laken M. Flynn, both at home in Salt Point; his mother and step father, Dot and Bruce Shaffer of Millbrook; his father and step mother, William and Sue Flynn of Copake, NY; brother and sister in law, Chris and Joan Flynn of Stanfordville; sister and brother in law, Jillian and Joe Meyers of Ohio, and his nieces and nephews, Ryan,Racheal, Jack and Maegan Flynn and Cody and Olivia Meyers. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2010 from 4 to 8 pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. There will be an Elk's Memorial Service at 7pm during visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:45 during visitation.
