Obituary of Elizabeth Giudice

Elizabeth Ann "Lizzy" Giudice, 64, a resident of the City of Poughkeepsie, NY, passed away on August 20, 2010 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She had been a Teacher Assistant in Poughkeepsie City Schools, Poughkeepsie, NY. She worked at Morse School. She was a local resident all of her life. Lizzy was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Italian Center and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She loved being with her family and grandchildren. She was born on June 9, 1946 in Poughkeepsie, NY, the daughter of Louis SanFelice and Sally Palumbo. She attended Poughkeepsie High School and Dutchess Community College. On September 2, 1947, she married Thomas J. Giudice at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Her husband survives at home. She is also survived by her mother; Sally SanFelice of Hyde Park, her daughter and son inlaw; Vanessa and Edward Weeks Jr. of Poughkeepsie, NY, her daughter and son in-law; Marlo and Christopher McCormack of Poughkeepsie, NY, her son and daughter in-law; Thomas and Lisa Giudice of Bethel, CT, her son and daughter inlaw; Christopher and Melissa Giudice of Yonkers, NY, her grandchildren; Chloe, Abby, Jake, Dylan and Aurelia, her brother and sister in-law; Frank and Shari SanFelice of Hyde Park, as well as several nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Mt. Carmel Place Poughkeepsie, New York 12601. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 from 4 to 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on August 25, 2010 at 9:30am at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery, Salt Point Turnpike, NY.
