Obituary of Virgina Gullery

Virginia V. Gullery, 82, a resident of Wappingers Falls, NY, passed away on August 16, 2010 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She had been a homemaker and mother. She previously was a secretary for Johns & Mansville, Manhattan, NY. She had been a local resident since 1970, previously residing in Yorktown Heights, Bronx, and Parkchester. She was an Eastern Star Member. Virginia loved her dogs, and she loved being with and being involved in her children's and grandchildren's lives. She was born on September 5, 1927 in Manhattan, NY, the daughter of Henry Vesely and Marie Zounek. She attended William Howard Taft High School and the Washington School for Secretaries. On April 18, 1948, in Bronx, NY, she married Donald F. Gullery. Her husband predeceased her on March 9, 2003. Survivors include her son, Keith V. Gullery, Fishkill, NY, her daughter and son in law, Kyle Marie and Brian Steffens, Ashburn, VA, her son and daughter in law, Kurt K. and Jane Gullery, Poughkeepsie, NY, and her grandchildren, Tiffany Gullery, Matthew Gullery, Allen Gullery, Daryl Ginger Cooch, Stephen Gullery, Jessica Gullery, and Jaimeson Steffens. Memorial Donations may be made to the Humane Society, 2489 Albany Post Road, Walden, NY 12586. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 5 to 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 20, 2010 at 11am at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc. Pastor Thompson-Ghee will officiate. Burial will take place in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery Mausoleum.
