Obituary of Joseph Harvilchuck

Joseph M. Harvilchuck, 67, a 41 year local resident died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Mr. Harvilchuck was a manager at East Fishkill IBM, retiring in 1997. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church. Mr. Harvilchuck loved to work with his hands, doing carpentry, computer work and playing the piano. He enjoyed classical music and going to musicals. He also loved to travel. Born April 24, 1941 in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Constance Harvilchuck. He attended Key Stone College, Penn State University and received his Doctorates from RPI. On Sept. 7, 1968, in Holy Trinity Church, Poughkeepsie, he married Sandra J. Cavalieri. Mrs. Harvilchuck survives at home. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Sal Incorvaia of Fort Mill, SC; daughter, Jill Harvilchuck of Middletown; daughter and son-in-law, Susie and Stefan Strom of Sweden; his sister, Ruth Hester of Brackney, PA; grandchildren, Brendon, Collyn and Dylan Incorvaia and Ellie Strom. He was predeceased by brothers, George and James Harvilchuck. Calling hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Friday, April 3, at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:45 a.m., Saturday, April 4, at Holy Trinity Church, Poughkeepsie.
