Obituary of James Keating

James William Keating, age 80, passed away on June 5, 2010 in Mesa, Arizona. James, "Jim", was a long-time resident of Poughkeepsie, NY. Jim was born on June 11, 1929 to James and Grace Keating of Staten Island, NY who, along with his sister Muriel preceded him in death. Jim served in the US Army in Korea during the Korean War. He married his wife, Annette Slone Brinkley in 1975. They enjoyed many years of travel, bridge and their many friends together. Jim was a "Life Long" active member of Elks Lodge #275 and worked for Western Electric / AT&T until retirement. Jim is survived by his wife, Annette , who now resides in Mesa, AZ with family, his step-son Spencer Brinkley and six grandchildren. Private burial was held on June 11th at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetary. Arrangements under the direction of the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie.
