Obituary of Gloria LaFalce

Gloria M. (Scarchilli) LaFalce, was a source of happiness for the entire LaFalce and Scarchilli family along with so many friends. A resident of Tampa, FL, and formerly from Poughkeepsie, NY, she was known for her beautiful smile, the dimples in her cheeks and for her infectious laugh. She had great warmth and kindness, and was such a helpful, generous soul that she made anyone in her presence a happier and better person. She worked extremely hard and had immense compassion for all she knew and loved. Gloria was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2000. After 9 years of a slow, sad deterioration, she lost her brave battle on December 9th, 2009 at the age of 87. She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Michael J. LaFalce Sr., her adoring children Michael Jr., Tom, Larry, Steve, Helen, Phyllis & husband Jason Marsh, grandchildren Michael III and Kiera, great-grandchild Santino Michael, brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom have been a great part of her loving life. She will be dearly missed and forever loved by all. A graveside service for family and friends will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery in Poughkeepsie, NY on September 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy P.
