Obituary of Ruth Littlefield

Ruth F. Littlefield, age 90, of 14 Bartlett Street, Poughkeepsie died Monday, September 20, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie. Mrs. Littlefield was born March 26, 1920 in Watertown, NY the daughter of the late Clarence and the late Mary (Fleming) Aloan. In1938 Ruth married Brayton R. Littlefield; he predeceased her in 1983. She retired from Buffalo State Hospital as a Staff Attendant in 1975. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Poughkeepsie and also was a previous member of the Bible Baptist Church in Hampton, Georgia. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Marjorie Littlefield of Poughkeepsie; grandchildren Suzanne White, Eric Littlefield, Debbie Galinzki; Jon Littlefield Jr., Valerie Littlefield. Natashia Littlefield and Saint Rooks III. Ruth is also survived by a sister Doris Scott. She was predeceased by her husband Brayton and a daughter Judith Rooks. There will be an hour visitation Friday, September 24, 1010. The funeral will follow at 11:00 at Second Baptist Church, Poughkeepsie, NY with Reverend John Simon officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Union Cemetery, Hyde Park, NY. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
