Obituary of Vivian A. Marin

Vivian A. Marin, 78, a local residence all of her life, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, died June 10, 2009 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She was a Home Maker and and loved being with her children and grandchildren. She also loved to garden. Born May 27, 1931, in Poughkeepsie, NY, she was the daughter of Harry and Almira Van Wagner Bennett. On April 26, 1950, in Poughkeepsie, NY, she married Richard K. Marin, Sr., who predeceased her on February 2, 1985. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Lynda Marin of Rhinebeck New York; son and daughter- in-law, Wayne and Julie Marin of North Carolina; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Alan Crotty of Poughkeepsie; grandchildren, Richard Jason, Stevie, Wayne Jr., Hayden and her granddaughter and best friend Erika. She was predeceased by her son, Richard Marin Jr. Calling hours will be held on Sunday June 14, 2009 from 4pm to 6pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, NY. Graveside service will be held on June 15, 2009 at 10:00am at Union Cemetery with Pastor Dan Ward officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, Route 9G, Hyde Park, NY.
