Obituary of Rita Miller

Rita Miller, of Ft. Pierce, FL., formerly of Poughkeepsie, died Sunday, September 13, 2009. She was born in Poughkeepsie on May 7, 1919 to the late Joseph and Edith Carney. She was married to the late Charles Miller. She was employed by Western Printing, Poughkeepsie, until her retirement. She was an avid bowler and belonged to several leagues. She is survived by two sister, Mary Ann Seaman, Poughkeepsie and Gerri Mattson of Roseville, Ca.; sister-in-law, Nancy Carney; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by sisters and brothers, Evelyn Haggerty, Joseph Carney, Donald Carney, Dorothy Krebbs, Margaret McElmurray, Jeanette Sherow, Cecilia Myers, Patrick Carney, Richard Carney, and Robert Carney. Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 21, 2009 from 9 am to 11 am at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. A service will take place during calling hours with Father Joseph Mali officiating. Burial will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
