Obituary of Chad Otrosinka
Chad R. Otrosinka, 30, of Germantown, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Chad graduated from Lakeshore Central High School in 1997. He played football at Lakeshore Central High School and helped lead his team to victory for the state championship. He was born on October 25, 1979 in Buffalo, NY. On August 2, 2008 he married Jovonna Forrest. Chad was a wonderful and caring man who loved his wife and daughter to be dearly. He loved working on projects in and around their home. Chad loved the outdoors, bird watching, fishing and camping. He loved sitting around a big campfire. Chad brought life to anywhere he went. He was a big guy with even a bigger heart. Whenever he walked into a room he gained the respect of the people there. He loved to be happy and to make people laugh. He loved his Ford diesel truck, driving around with the windows down and the country music playing. He loved to eat. Most of all he loved his friends and family, he truly touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. As a certified arborist, he was extremely passionate about his work. He attended Paul Smith's College of Arts and Sciences Urban Tree Management and SUNY collage of Environmental Science and Forestry. "He that plants trees, loves others beside himself", Thomas Fuller. Chad is survived by his wife, Jovonna Otrosinka and his daughter to be, Ember Forrest Otrosinka; his mother and father in law, Deborah and Brad Forrest; his brother in law & his wife, Brad and Jen Forrest; his sister in law, Michele Forrest; nephew Anders Forrest, the Beyer and Forrest Families and many good friends. He is also survived by his mother, Roseann Becker Standera, stepfather, Kirk Standera; his father, Keith Otrosinka, his brother, Jeremy Otrosinka and his wife, Christian, nephews, Dallas, Blake and Austen Otrosinka. In addition, he is survived by cousins, Kelly and her husband Kris Bow and their son, Landon; Krista and her husband, Adam Gasorowski; Kim and her husband, Troy Richmond and their son, Tommy; an aunt, Deborah McGrath; and an uncle, Robert and his wife, Marybeth Becker. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010 from 3 to 6 pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A Memorial Service for family and close friends will be held at 2pm on Sunday at the funeral home prior to visitation. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
