Obituary of Leonard Rugman

Leonard H. Rugman, Jr., 74, of City of Poughkeepsie, NY, died on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Born on July 5, 1935, in Poughkeepsie, NY, he was the son of Leonard Rugman and Theodora Wood. He attended Poughkeepsie Schools and Syracuse Univeristy, later going on to marry Loretta Taylor on April 29, 1962 in New Paltz, NY. He was a local jeweler and was a lifetime City of Poughkeepsie resident. He was also a member of the local Masonic Organization. He is survived by his wife, his sons; John H. Rugman and Ty Rugman, his daughters; Laura DeQuinzio, and Kate Ellen Rugman, his son in law Thomas Rochenski, his granddaughter Ramona Lucy Rugman, and a sister, Jane Rugman. He was predeceased by his son in law, Steven DeQuinzio. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Lenny's name. A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 11am at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetary, with burial following. Calling hours are from 5-8pm on Wednesday, February 17, 2010.
