Obituary of Lori Seal

Lori J. Seal, 54, of Staatsburg, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. A 40 year local resident, she had previously resided in Pennsylvania. She was a cook at Adams Fairace Farm in Poughkeepsie. Born in Hatfield, PA on Oct., 12, 1954, she was the daughter of Wilson and Deolores Souder Long. She was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School. In 1973, in Poughkeepsie, she married Allen James Seal. Mr. Seal survives at home in Staatsburg. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother Delores of Poughkeepsie; a son, Christopher Seal of Poughkeepsie; a son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Janine Seal of Newburgh; a grandson, Ryan Seal; a brother, Greg Long and three sisters, Debbie Lozier, Pam Parisi and Mary Krueger as well as several nieces and nephews. Lori loved her family and especially her grandson Ryan. Afterhelping all of us get everything done, she still found time to grow her beautiful flowers and garden. We will all miss her loving smile. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Avenue, Poughkeepsie.
