I was Barry's friend when he lived in the Bronx. We worked out together many times.
He was a great guy who gave me a lift in the early 1980's from Manhattan to Congers, NY (my home at the time) after we attended an Oldtime Strongman meeting where John Grimek was honored.
I last saw Barry if 2006 at the Empire State Games. My son Peter was lifting and Barry came
over to say hello. He was a good man and may he rest in peace.
