Obituary of Rosemarie Spicer

Rosemarie Spicer, 79, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2010 at home surrounded by her family. A 10 year local resident, she had previously resided in Garrison, NY. She was a retired employee of Philips Research Laboratories in Briarcliff Manor where she worked as an Administrative Assistant, retiring in 1994. Born in Mount Vernon, NY on October 10, 1930, she was the daughter of Angelo and Lucia Fusco Viola. She was a graduate of A.B. Davis High School. On May 19, 1951 she married Richard Spicer in Mount Vernon. Her husband survives at home in Poughkeepsie. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters and sons in law, DonnaLou and Peter Salatino of Holmes, NY and Susan and Michael Lombardo of Massapequa; and a brother, Joseph Viola of Croton on Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc. 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. Funeral services will follow visitation at 2pm on Tuesday at the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
