Obituary of Sarah Studler
Sarah Studler, 25, a lifelong resident of Pleasant Valley,NY, went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on Friday, June 26, 2009. All who knew Sarah will remember her abounding passion for life and her contagious smile. Joy followed her everywhere her went with a spirit of excitement and anticipation covering everyone within range. She was the beloved daughter of Rick and Linda Studler of Pleasant Valley, NY. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Marine Sgt. Justin E. Studler and SharaLyn Studler of Cherry Point, NC, her two grandmothers, Patricia Szabo of Pleasant Valley, NY and Audrey Hadden of Hyde Park, NY. Sarah was predeceased by her beloved Poppy, Eugene Szabo. A 2002 graduate of Arlington High School she went on to Mount Saint Mary's College in Newburgh, NY, to graduate with a dual major in English and Psychology. As a Service Co-ordinator for Dutchess ARC she used her education and love of life to bless all she worked with and for. A life long lover of sports, Sarah excelled at basketball and softball playing from the youth town leagues through Arlington High School and on to Mount Saint Mary's College. Great memories of Jet and Yankee games fill our hearts. Always willing to deserve others, she was a member of the Mid-Hudson Vida Nueva community and participated in CAMP HOPE service projects and most recently with Rebuilding Together Dutchess County for the family of a WWII veteran. From 1984-2009 Sarah lived her "dash" well, she would want you to do the same. In lieu of flowers, the family would be overjoyed by a donation to either Dutchess ARC, 1435 Route 44, Pleasant Valley, NY or the HPUMC CAMP HOPE fund c/o The Hyde Park United Methodist Church, 1 Church Street, Hyde Park, NY. Calling hours will be from 48pm on Wednesday, July 1, at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. The funeral will be held at 10am Thursday, July 2, at the Hyde Park United Methodist, 1 Church St., Hyde Park, NY 12538.
