Obituary of Carole Tice

Carole C. Tice, 70, of Poughkeepsie, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. A lifelong area resident, she was employed as an Inspector at Kem Cards in Poughkeepsie, retiring in 1995. Born in Poughkeepsie on July 6, 1940, she was the daughter of Howard and Thelma Faust. In 1959 in Poughkeepsie, she married Richard Sumski, Sr. She married Homer Tice in September 1985, he predeceased his wife on May 14, 1999. She is survived by her sons, Richard Sumski, Jr. and his wife Irene and Stephen Sumski; two grandchildren, Richard Sumski III and Kevin Sumski, all of Poughkeepsie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. Graveside services and burial will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie.
