Obituary of Marion Trott

Marion Trott, 72, of Poughkeepsie passed away on Monday, July 27, 2009 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. A lifelong area resident, she was employed as a Dorm Mother at Vassar College. She had previously worked in manufacturing at IBM Poughkeepsie and Fishkill. She was a member of the First Dutchess Quilters and St. Charles Borromeo Church in Dover Plains. Born in Poughkeepsie on August 3, 1936, she was the daughter of Stephen and Lottie Kuklinski Stec. She was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School. On April 20, 1958, at St. Peter's Church, Poughkeepsie, she married Donald Trott. Mr. Trott predeceased his wife on August 26, 1981. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Regina L. Trott and Steven Heninger of Cumberland, MD: her son and daughter-in-law, John D. Trott and Georgia Herring of LaGrange; her grandchildren, Madeleine Herring Trott, Nathaniel Herring Trott, Joshua Trott, Katarina Herring Trott; her sister, Cecelia Berkley; brother, Charles Stec; brother, George Stec; sister, Patricia Thorn. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Henry Stec, Barbara Mullen, Vincent Stec, Stephen Stec, Peter Stec, Agnes Foote and Stanley Stec. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2009 from 5pm to 8pm. at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 31st at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Poughkeepsie. Burial will follow in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, Dover Plains, NY.
