My condolences to the family of Sally, all her friends in recovery and those still needing it. When I still lived in Poughkeepsie, Sally was seen everywhere, where friends in recovery would gather, sharing her experience strength and hope. She personally recruited me for the Drunk Driver Program in 1983, and a few classes we even taught together. On many occasions we would go together on 12 step calls. Sally was a gem to all of us. Peace be with her.

The thing we remember the most about Sally is how excited she would get when she would stop over to pick raspberries. I've never seen anyone her age have so much energy picking this kind of fruit with such enthusiam and determination. She told me she would enjoy both eating them and making pies and jam. All of it is very hard work but she seemed to get through it will ease almost as if she had help from the Lord himself. We enjoyed having her over at this special time of year as you only have a couple a good days to ge the berries picked before the birds take them.
