Obituary of Kathleen H. Zwissler

Kathleen Zwissler passed away suddenly in a car accident along with her mother and daughter on Sunday, September 13, 2009. She was born to Sam and Doris Swartz on September 27, 1948. Her father predeceased her in 1996 and her mother passed away with her in the same accident. On November 7, 1965 she married Robert Zwissler who survives at home. Surviving is her son David of Poughkeepsie and her grandchildren Daniel, Robert and Crystal. She was able to spend her last day with her daughter, Kim, who she did everything with and for and they passed away together. Her son-in-law, Scott Di Nonno survives in Milton with her grandchildren Justin, Ryan and Christain. She was predeceased by her daughter, Christa, whom she thought of and deeply missed everyday of her life. She is also survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Mizell of Arizona and Melody Adams of Poughkeepsie, her brother, Kenneth, predeceased her in 1981. She also has several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Kathy worked at Adams Fairacre Farms as the manager of the flower shop in the Poughkeepsie store. She enjoyed creating the most amazing pieces out of little things she would find around the shop. She had a great eye for making beautiful things. She was a collector of bears, with a bear room in her house and a bear Christmas tree each year. Her family was everything to her and she will be greatly missed by all. Calling hours will be Friday, September 18, 2009, from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10:00am at the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery Community Mausoleum.
