Obituary of James Grant

James C. Grant, age 64, of Hyde Park died Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center of Poughkeepsie, NY. Jimmy was born March 29, 1952 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is the son of the late Charles and the late Marguerite (Inger) Grant. in September of 2004 Jimmy married Margaret " Peggy " Gallagher, she predeceased him on September 24, 2014. Jimmy was a local resident all of his life and a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School. Jimmy was employed by the United Union of Roofers Local 8. He loved to fish, hunt and garden. He is survived by his three nephews and two niece Jeffry, Jason, Scott Tarant, Jennifer Crowe and Kelsey Grant, goddaughter Lauren Storm, his two sister inlaws Michelle and her husband Kim Phillips, Karen Grant and his brother inlaw Phillip Tarant and his two cats Calling hours will be Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 10am to 12pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
