Obituary of Edward G. Fulgenzi
Edward Fulgenzi, better known as Eddie, entered into a peaceful rest on Sunday, May 30th, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was 68.
Born March 26th 1953, in Brooklyn, NY. He was the son of the late Edward and Angela Fulgenzi. Eddie graduated from Westlake High School in 1972. In the 70’s he was a trumpet player for The Lancer’s Marching Band for the Thornwood Fire Department.
Eddie worked as a car salesman for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, music and cars and was an avid NY Giants fan. The most important part of his life was his family. He loved family gatherings and took much pride into making his family happy.
On March 26th 1983 he married the love of his life Madaline (DiSanzo). She survives at home. Eddie is also survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law Joanna and Rob Nicoletti as well as the greatest joy of his life, his grandson Robbie. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by three sisters, Bettiann (Sam), Marianne (Leslie) and Stephanie (Frank), and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 4th from 5 - 8 pm at Timothy Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY. Funeral Service will begin at the funeral home on Saturday, June 5th at 10:30 am. Graveside services will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
