Obituary of Jean Alvarez

Jean Travis Alvarez, died, May 17, 2008 at the age of 65. She is survived by her husband, Castor Alvarez; her son, Noel Travis; daughter-in-law, Wendy; granddaughters, Sandra and Sara; stepson, Steven Alvarez and stepdaughter, Patricia Alvarez. She leaves behind many family and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Frances and father, Percy Anderson. Jean was of the Protestant faith. Jean retired after many years of service to the Wappinger's Central School District as a head bus driver. Jean was a member of the Australian Shepherd Club; the AKC and the American Working Farmcollie Association where she won many titles, Ribbons and awards. Jean, "Dr. Doolittle" retired with her husband to their farm in Kerhonkson where she spent her last years with all her animal friends. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 5 to 9 pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
