I had the privilege to work with Phil while I attended DCC. I used to always tell him he was such a small man with a big heart. When I left the office I even picked him up to hug him goodbye. He will be missed but never forgotten. Phil is now at peace and reunited with his wife.

I was a teacher at Dutchess Community College in the 1970's and Phil was one of the first persons I met on Campus. He was a great help in those first few months and over the years we had many conversations about photography and the fire service as my dad had been a NYC fireman. I will always remember him as a friendly and helpful colleague who made life at the college so much more enjoyable.

To Phil's family - peace be with you. Phil and I knew each other many years ago when we attended the Methodist church. He was a loyal and kind friend. We worked together in the mid-1960's at Dutchess Community College. We reconnected when he was volunteering at St Francis. Truly, he was a prince among men. Rest in peace, Phil. Sandy

So sorry to see of Phil's passing. I last saw him at our 50th HS reunion. Phil was a kind and gentle soul who always had a good word for everyone. The world is a little sadder place with his passing.

I have crossed paths with Phil for a long time at DCC where he was always willing to lend a hand. In the past few years we would meet at St. Francis Hospital: he as a volunteer and myself getting assignments for our nursing students. Thank you, Phil, for just raising the arm to let me exit the parking garage; giving me a 'God Bless' instead of taking my money.

My 23 years at DCC were enlivened by my friendship with Phil. Never to busy to help or to chat. I saw him often at St Francis and kept up with the news. He was a gentleman!!

Phil was a very nice person to talk to. I've known Phil a very long time and he was always very pleasant to me. That meant a lot to me. I just saw him a few weeks ago at St. Francis Hosp while he was working. He has done a lot for the community and there should be more people like Phil. Bless you Phil.

Phil was my immediate supervisor at the Security Office at DCC. I was student aide from 1998 to 2000. I got the job because my Mom met him while she was a student at DCC! He was a great guy and will be missed. I remember one time I stood up and got a headrush. I said, "I'm sorry I'm pausing here for a moment. I have a headrush." Phil said, "What's a headrush?" haha!
