I was deeply saddened to hear about the death of Andy (Poppy), I know this must be very difficult for you Jean and all the family... I always enjoyed the times I spent listening to Andy talk of his dogs, woodworking, apples, Michigan Tech ect. also Andy always showed me so much respect and also inquiring about my family each by name. I will make sure Vanessa's Children will know much about thier Poppy! May god bless you during this time and always. Michael Vojtush.

My deepest sympathy to the Jean and the Bartoes family in your loss of Andy. I became friends with Andy through Guiding Eyes for the Blind - facilitating the adoption of Andy's last 3 dogs who were the loves of his life "Bob", "Buffy" and "Brandy". Andy loved his dogs and each day had a strict routine he would follow in their care. They meant so much to him! I so enjoyed his bimonthly calls to me to tell me how his cherished dogs were doing. He was a very good friend and supporter of Guiding Eyes for the Blind and will be sorely missed. Andy rest in peace- I know you are now with "Buffy", "Bear" and "Beethoven"...
