I wanted to share a few thoughts and experiences about Brian for those of you who may have only had limited dealings with him. Brian approached me in 1997 at a local Poughkeepsie dealer and asked me how to get involved with installing paving stones and retaining walls. Brian showed me a basic photo album of two walkways he had installed with only a few handtools he had been carting around in the back of his Honda. I urged him to come to a Unilock seminar and plug into what our company had to offer. He did so with such enthusiasm and drive that he quickly grew out of the Honda and into a fleet of dump trucks and heavy construction equipment. Every suggestion I shared with Brian he put to good use in his business. I was building my territory while he was building his business and together we helped strengthen the Unilock brand in OUR backyard. Brian lived actually less than 5 miles from my house. Season after season and many after hours phone calls forged a partnership that has survived all of these years. In fact, it has been several years since I had Brian as one of my customers but he has remained a true and loyal Unilock contractor. Brian on many occasions turned down work when the homeowner insisted on using another brand. What better show of support could I have asked for than loyalty to our company and brand. Brian will be sorely missed by many.
