Obituary of Dorothy Brown

Dorothy E. Brown, 86, passed away October 26, 2011 at home. She was born January 22, 1925 in Illinois to Joseph and Anna Novak Sekel. In 1947, she married Millard F. Brown in Peekskill. He survives her at home. A Peekskill resident most of her life, Dorothy spent the last five years in LaGrange. She was a legal secretary for the Law Offices of Pines & Sterling in Peekskill, NY. She worked as a Customer Service Representative for New York Bank for Savings in Jefferson Valley, NY until her retirement in 1986. Along with her husband, Dorothy is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws Kathy and Nino Domini and Bonnie and John Lubers all of LaGrange; sister Connie Fowler of Florida; brother George Sekel of Peekskill, NY; five grand children and two great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 4:00 - 8:00pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 31 at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Peekskill, NY.
