Obituary of James Brown

James M. Brown, age 58, a lifetime resident of Poughkeepsie, died Sunday, February 27, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie. Mr. Brown was born January 31, 1953 in Poughkeepsie, NY, the son of the late James F. and the late Bettie Jean (Rogers) Brown. James served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Hudson River State Hospital in the Town of Poughkeepsie as a Male Nurse. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Poughkeepsie. James loved to fish in Canada. He was an avid reader and Yankee Fan. He is survived by his sisters: Bonnie Lee Paonessa & her husband Tony of Poughkeepsie and Carol Anne Campili & her husband Rudy of Wappingers Falls, NY. James is survived by his brothers Michael Brown & his wife Anne of Kingston, NY; Timothy Brown of Myrtle Beach, SC; his Aunt Georgia Carpenter of Hyde Park, NY and several nieces & nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society – Memorial Processing, 6725 Lyons Street, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
