I worked with Helen for many years at DCC. She was a fine woman, an advocate for the students and just fun to be with.

I worked in the office next door to Helen at DCC. She always had a smile, kind word, and patience to listen to anyone's problems. She was truly a saint. No matter how busy she was, she always had a moment for a visitor. She always made me laugh if I stopped in later in the afternoon. She would offer me a peppermint patty saying, "It's good for you; helps settle the stomach." Every time I see those candies, I laugh and think of her. I hope God was there to welcome Helen on our Lord's birthday. She deserved a celebration to welcome one of God's special people home.

A flood of lifetime memories from 5 months old and being neighbors. Helen melded our two families together to experience all the benefits of friendship, laughter, caring and most of all love. My sympathy to Mike, Pat, Peggy and families. The beautiful memories can never be forgotten or taken away. Love Jack

Thank God for Helen Butler - What a wonderful kind women. When I think of the prayer of St.Francis Helen always comes to mind. I knew she could always be counted on. Her life's work was about helping others and loving her family. She helped me tremendously with my Dad as he aged and became sick. I don't know what I would of done during that time if I didn't have her. Thank you Helen you are and always will be my Angel.

How sad to read of Helen Butler's passing in this morning's Poughkeepsie Journal. I graduated from Dutchess Community College in 1967, and remember Mrs. Butler with great fondness. She always had time to listen to my concerns about anything. She was a great asset to everyone at DCC and will be sadly missed.
