Obituary of Doris Catucci

Doris Catucci, 79, of Red Hook, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008 at Northern Dutchess Hospital. Mrs. Catucci worked for the Academy Message Service, retiring in 1995. She was lifelong area resident and a member of Holy Trinity Church. Born May 8, 1929 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of Augustus and Marjorie Kellerhouse Merritt. She married Paul Catucci in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Poughkeepsie. Mr. Catucci died March 3, 1994. Survivors include her son, Paul Catucci of Poughkeepsie; her daughter, Marjorie Breidenstein of Kings Park, NY; her daughter, with whom she resided, Theresa Oles of Red Hook; her sisters, Shirley Doughty of Portland, ME and Betty Reilly of Germantown, NY; her grandchildren, Kimberly Davis of Chesapeake, VA; Dan Breidenstein of Kings Park, NY; Kristine Oles of Ravina, NY; Kelly Lynn Oles of St. Albins, VT; and Alicia Catucci of Poughkeepsie. She was predeceased by her brother, Bud Merritt and a sister, Joane Hefferna. Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 28, at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:45 a.m., Friday, Aug. 29, at Holy Trinity Church, Poughkeepsie. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Salt Point, Poughkeepsie.
