Obituary of James Mathew Davey

James M. Davey, 33, of Town of LaGrange, died May 18, 2008. He had been employed as a Construction Worker for Wolcott Builders in Red Hook, NY. A local resident his whole life, he was a long time member of the Boy Scouts of America and a member of Holy Trinity Church. He was also an Altar Boy at Holy Trinity. He loved to camp, fix cars, roller skate and ride motorcycles. He was a friend and helped all in need. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on October 29, 1974, he was the son of Paul "Mike" Davey and JoAnn Hendericks. He was a graduate of Arlington High School and attended Dutchess Community College. Survivors include his father; Paul "Mike " Davey Jr. of the Town of LaGrange; mother and stepfather; JoAnn and John Kane of Okeechobee, Florida; sister; Lisa Marie Lown of LaGrange, brother; Paul M. Davey III of the Town of Poughkeepsie; sister; Kelly M. Davey of Albany; paternal grandmother; Elaine Davey of Highland and maternal grandmother; Bess Hendericks of the Town of LaGrange; various stepbrothers, stepsisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; nephew; Daniel Vaitkus and niece Antonia Lown; godmother and her husband Kathryn and Thomas Kraft of Hopewell NY; godfather and aunt, Vincent and Denise Tierney of Pleasant Valley. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Paul M. Davey Sr. and James F. Hendricks. Memorial donations to: Dunklin Memorial Camp 3342 SW Hosanah Lane, Okeechobee, Florida 34972 or to D.A.R.E. Doyle Funeral Home Inc. 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 3:00pm, Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at Holy Trinity Church.
