Obituary of Helen Decker

Helen I. Decker, age 87, of Millbrook, NY died Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center of Poughkeepsie, NY. Mrs. Decker was born May 13, 1923 in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Alma Rozell VanTassell. A lifelong resident, she was employed as an assembler for Hollywood Blinds in Poughkeepsie. She married Norman B. Decker in Poughkeepsie, Norman predeceased her. Helen was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and she loved to play bingo and liked to watch all sports. She is survived her son Robert Decker of Millbrook, NY, her son and daughter-in-law Theodore & JoRene Decker of OK, and her daughter and son-inlaw Judy & Paul Patra of Palm Bay, FL. She is also survived by 21 Grandchildren and 33 GreatGrandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her children, Michael Decker, Norman Decker, Kenneth Decker and Patricia Grammas. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, from 3:00 - 7:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY. The Funeral Service will be held at 7:00pm in the Funeral Home. Burial will be at the convenience of the Family.
