Obituary of Olga Dory

Olga Siegfried Dory, 75, a resident of Poughkeepsie since 1997, formerly of the Bronx, died Monday, July 14, 2008 at home. Mrs. Dory was an administrative assistant at Columbia University in New York, retiring Dec. 31,1999. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and was a Licensed Real Estate Broker in the Bronx. Mrs. Dory loved to cook for her family. Born Oct. 5, 1932 in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Jaimey and Aurolia Vasquez Castaner. She was a graduate of schools in New York City. On Feb. 14, 1989, in the Bronx, she married Peter A. Dory. Mr. Dory survives at home. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Siegfried of Harrison, NY; her son and daughter-in-law, Vincent C. and Ellen Siegfried; her son-in-law, Fernando Figueras; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Elizabeth, Diana and Gladys. She was predeceased by her daughter, Bridget Figueras on Jan. 18, 2008 and a sister, Esther Cruz. Calling hours will be 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Friday, July 18, at St. Mary's Church, Poughkeepsie. Burial will be in the Rural Cemetery, South Ave., Poughkeepsie.
