Obituary of Elizabeth Dunn

Elizabeth A. Dunn, 88 died Monday December 1, 2008 at Life Care Center, New Port Richey, Florida. She was a local Dutchess County resident since 1962 and formerly of Long Island. In 2003 she moved to New Port Richey Florida. She was a Nurses Aide at Northern Dutchess Hospital until her retirement in 1975. She went to Dutchess Community College for her Associates Degree in Nursing. Born June 24, 1920, in Bayridge, NY, she was the daughter of James and Lorretta DeVoy O'Hara. On June 6, 1942, in Bayridge, NY, she married Edmond F. Dunn, who predeceased her on December 21, 1993. Survivors include her son, James Dunn of New Port Richey, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Robert A. and Kathleen Dunn of Long Island, NY; daughter, Maryann Dunn of Poughkeepsie, NY; son; Richard E. Dunn of Long Island, NY; grandchildren, Megan Hackett and Brendan Dunn. She was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Gorman and her son, Thomas E. Dunn. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 from 5pm to 8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 10:00am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Rhinebeck, NY. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Rhinecliff, NY.
