Obituary of Pauline Egan
Pauline S. Egan, 75, passed away November 7, 2011 at home after a valiant battle against acute leukemia. She showed amazing strength and courage as she fought this disease. She was born on February 27, 1936 in Bronx, NY the daughter of John Anthony and Edith Sanford Parsons. On April 27, 1957, Pauline married William J. Egan at St. BernardâÂÂs, in Sharon, CT. He predeceased her on June 12, 2007. Pauline was a resident of Wappingers Falls, NY for 54 years. She graduated from Cornwall High School and Orange Community College. Pauline worked at the Sharon Clinic in Sharon, CT. and as records clerk for the Town of Wappingers and for the Dutchess County Clerks Office until her retirement in 2002. Pauline attended St. Martin de Porres, was a lifelong member of the Democratic Club and member of the CSEA Union. She was a Girl Scout Leader and Den Mother in Dutchess County. Pauline and her husband traveled to many places including Alaska, Aruba, Cuba, S.Africa, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. She was a devoted wife always supportive of her husband and a warm, generous, awesome mom who was very dedicated to her family. Her father was a Methodist Minister and she recently found out she was related to early English Settlers on her grandmotherâÂÂs side. Pauline was also a dog lover. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Nancy J. & Mario Tricomi of Beverly, MA and Robin M. & Patrick McIlmoyle of Durham, NC; son and daughter-in-law John P. & Melissa Egan of Poughkeepsie; grandchildren Jonathan & Caitlin Tricomi, Daniel & Katie McIlmoyle, Kelly & Sean Egan and Ricky & Rebecca Perez; great-grandchild Sofia Perez; sister-in-law Mary Frattarola of Pittsfield, MA and several nieces & nephews. Memorial Donations may be made to the Leukemia Society, PO Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202 or Hospice,Inc., 374 Violet Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Calling hours will be on Friday, November 11, 2011 from 4:00-7:00pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 9:00am at St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Burial will follow at St. PeterâÂÂs Cemetery.
