Obituary of Alfonso Federico

Alfonso N. Federico 83 of Hyde Park, NY died at Vassar Brothers Medical Center April 26, 2008. He was a Manager Strauss Store Poughkeepsie, He was the owner of Clay Gas Station in Arlington, He also worked at Dutchess Wholesales Plumbing and Heating and Orange County Plumbing and Heating. A Local Resident All his life. A 36 year member of Poughkeepsie Elks #275, and Life member of Roosevelt Fire Station #3. He served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946, he was a gunners mate 3rd Class Armed Guard. Al helped out at the Elks with Bingo and Vegas Nights, he bowled for over 40 years, Was an Excellent 3 cushion Billiards Player and self taught himself how to play the Accordion which he loved to do. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY. February 17, 1925. He was the son of Sebastian Federico and Maria Aversa. He was married to Helen V. Hubner on February 23, 1946 in Wappingers Falls New York Helen predeceased Al on March 12, 2008 Survivors are Son and Daughter In-law; Wayne and Madeline Federico of Poughkeepsie Four Grandchildren; Kenneth, Jeffrey, Thomas Koren and Nicole Federico Two Great Grand Daughters; Tabitha and Tristyn Koren Several Nieces and Nephews and Family in Italy Predeceased by two sisters Ermalinda and Nancy and a Brother William. Calling Hours will be held Tuesday April 29, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday in the Funeral Home at 10am with burial to follow at Union Cemetery.
