Obituary of Daniel Helweg

Daniel A. Helweg, 46, of Poughkeepsie, died November 19, 2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. A local resident for most of his life, he had previously lived in Las Vegas, NV. He was a technician for A1 Alarm Company, Poughkeepsie. Born Feb. 17, 1962 in Boston, MA, he was the son of Laurence W. Helweg and Margaret Conneely. He attended Poughkeepsie High School. Survivors include his father, Laurence W. Helweg, Poughkeepsie, NY; brother, Laurence W. Helweg, III, Stanfordville, NY; brother and sisterin-law, Sean P. and Gail Helweg, Highland, NY; brother and sister-inlaw, Michael J. and Karen Helweg, Las Vegas, NV; sister, Margaret Maserjian, Hyde Park, NY; sister, Siobhan V. Horboychuk, Red Hook, NY; sister, Deirdre A. Helweg, Poughkeepsie, NY; nieces and nephews, Tiffinie, Sean, Jr., and Sarah Helweg, Shane and Joe Horboychuk, and Brogan DeVico. He was predeceased by his mother, Margaret in December 2002. Calling hours will be held November 24, 2008 from 6-8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. A memorial service will take place on November 24, 2008 at 7:30pm, at the funeral home, during the calling hours. Burial will be in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, South Ave., Poughkeepsie.
