Obituary of John Kearney

John E. Kearney, age 59, Poughkeepsie, died Tuesday March 15, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie New York. Mr. Kearney was born April 12, 1951 in Poughkeepsie, NY the son of the late John Ward and the late Vera (Decker) Kearney. He married Karen A. Plass April 6, 1974 at Holy Trinity Church Poughkeepsie. Karen survives at home. John was a graduate of Holy Trinity School and Our Lady of Lourdes High School. John was a life long local resident and a member of Holy Trinity Church. John enjoyed working at his store and loved to collect coins. He was the owner Jo-Ka-Jo's in Poughkeepsie New York. He is survived by one son: John J. Kearney of West New York, one brother Jeffrey Kearney of Florida, Brother And Sister In-law, Kevin and Melanie Kearney of Lagrange, NY; Brother And Sister In-law, Michael And Fran Kearney of Salt Point, NY and his Sister And Brother In-law, Susan And Dan O'Hanlon of Red Hook, NY Calling hours will be Friday from 4pm to 8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. The funeral will be Saturday at 10:00 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at St. Peters Cemetery, Poughkeepsie. New York.
