My sympathies to Jimmy's family and loved ones. I am his neighbor's(Bob and Ellen Chase) daughter. A few years ago I was stranded in an ice storm outside of Poughkeepsie during a visit to my parents . I had no way to get to Albany to connect with my return train home to Ohio. Jimmy did not hesitate to take me when Ellen asked him if he would. I was so appreciative of his help. In that hour or so ride we chatted and I just thought he was the nicest man and I was so thankful for his help and all the help he has given my parents through the years. Rest in peace my friend...you will be missed! Mari

My condolences to your family. Jim bailed me out, literally, when my house got flooded. He was a great contributor to the City of Poughkeepsie, and his influence on the Fire Department will still endure It's just too bad he was a Yankees fan
