Obituary of William McPeck

William J. McPeck, 70, passed away October 24, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie. A lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, he was born on May 9, 1941, the son of Arthur and Ethel Case McPeck. William married Marilyn DuBraski who predeceased him on February 26, 2002. He worked for IBM Poughkeepsie Manufacturing for 30 years and for Marist College Security until his retirement in May, 2011. William was a member of Mt. Carmel Church in Poughkeepsie. He loved to be the center of attention and make people laugh, spend time with his family, sit on the porch and NYC Theater. He also loved to vacuum and do the laundry. William is survived by his daughter Kelly McPeck Paonessa and her husband, Vinny of Clinton Corners; his son and daughter-in-law Scott & Christina McPeck of Poughkeepsie; daughter-in-law Rita McPeck and mother-in-law Helen Dubraski both of Poughkeepsie; grandchildren Amanda, Rebecca, Kayleigh, Cecilia, Madison; great-grandchildren Matthew & Sarah and many, many loving friends. He was predeceased by his son, Michael McPeck. Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 5:00 - 8:00pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A prayer service will be held during calling hours.
