Obituary of Brenda Moffitt

Brenda Claire Moffitt, 68, passed away suddenly on October 29 at her home in LaGrange, NY. Her husband of 48 years, Clarke T. Moffitt, was by her side. Brenda graduated from Red Hook High School in 1960 and continued her studies at Vassar Brothers Hospital School of Nursing, graduating as a registered nurse in 1963. She held several nursing positions throughout the Hudson Valley and retired from the NYS Fishkill Correctional Facility after 18 years of service there. In addition to her husband, Brenda is survived by her two sons, Aaron Moffitt of Valley Forge, NY and Douglas Moffitt and his wife Jennifer Jorgensen of Poughkeepsie. She is also survived by her three beloved grandchildren, Nicholas, Emma and Maya Moffitt of Poughkeepsie. She was predeceased by her parents Evelyn and Clyde and brother Larry. Brenda was an avid reader and gardener and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
