Obituary of Louis Morrissey
Louis R. Morrissey, Jr. of Poughkeepsie died Monday, September 20, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie. He was 53. Mr. Morrissey was a Poughkeepsie resident for most of his life, working as a bus driver for the Dutchess County Loop Bus Service and the City of Poughkeepsie School District. He also served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and his dog 'Pugsley'. Mr. Morrissey was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 3, 1957 to Louis R. Morrissey, Sr. and Catherine Haff. A graduate of Arlington High School in Freedom Plains, NY, he married Suzanne Moller on October 10, 1981. His wife Suzanne survives him at home. He is also survived by his stepchildren Marion DiGiacomo of Pennsylvania, Diane Cambell of Kingston, Sharon Cambell of Poughkeepsie and Pauline Rogers of Poughkeepsie; sisters Rosemary Ryan of Queens, NY, Patricia Weathers of Georgia and JoAnn and husband Ronald Decker of Pleasant Valley; granddaughter Ashley Cambell and 12 other grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and 3 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 6:00 9:00 PM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY.
