I was a shipmate of Bill's on The USS Narwhal (SSN 671) and have the fondest memories of a professional Navyman and fine human being. I'm glad to see he touched so many over the years. May God Bless and keep him always.

My heart screams, then I pause only to think of Nancy and all your family. Bill, you were one of only 2 friends there when I needed friends the most. You know in great detail how you blessed me and helped pull me through the worst time of my life. I am grateful you let me in to be there for you when you were in the valley. I am glad that you didn't give up. I will miss your voice, your gutsy way, your creative thinking and the chance to hear it again. A piece of me has been ripped away. Smile down on us.

I've known Bill since 1970, we worked at Standard Gage together for about 10 years. He was very funny and very smart. We did lots of project together and remained friends after that, even though I haven't seen him in years. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, he will be missed. My deepest sympathy goes out To the whole family. I have great memories of him coaching little league with my brothers, Marcus and myself since I was 5 years old. When he wasn't coaching anymore he was always at our games trying to still coach us. I don't think he ever missed a game we played in from little league all the way through high school.
