Obituary of Margaret Piro

Margaret "Maggie" Piro, formerly of Larchmont, NY died peacefully June 17, 2009 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Maggie had lived with her daughter in Poughkeepsie for the last four years. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John D. Piro, DDS and four children: Peg Anderson of Poughkeepsie, Christopher Piro of Poughkeepsie, John Piro of South Salem, NY and Timothy Piro of Herndon, Virginia. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; Christopher, Thomas, Gregory, Margaret and Matthew Anderson and Kiera Piro and Kevin, Meredith and Graham Piro. She was born on October 19, 1924 in the Bronx. She received her Bachelors Degree from CW Post University. On July 7, 1956 she married John D. Piro at Our Lady's Chapel in St. Patrick's Cathedral. Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 19, 2009 from 4:00 - 8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 9:30am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
