Obituary of Barbara Pudney

Barbara J. Pudney, 76, a 50 year local resident, died Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. Mrs. Pudney was a waitress for Howard Johnson's in Poughkeepsie, retiring in 1990. Born June 10, 1931 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of Raymond W. and Hazel M. Houghtaling Burnett. On Sept. 12, 1982, she married Donald Pudney in St. John's Lutheran Church. Mr. Pudney died Oct. 10, 2007. Survivors include her son, Edward J. Cussick of Poughkeepsie; her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas M. and Sandra Cussick of Hyde Park; her grandchildren, Bryan M. and Michelle L. Cussick of Hyde Park; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Francis Kalisky of Plattekill; and her nieces, Deborah A. Carpenter of Wallkill and Dawn M. Kalisky of Newburgh. Calling hours will be 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 4, at the funeral home.
