Dearest Jane and family I think of you often and was shocked to hear the news about Steven. There are no words. I don't know if you are aware but I lost my youngest son,Scott,4 years ago so I can say that I know what you are feeling. I spend much time trying to make sense of it but I can't. I just have to believe that your Steven and my Scott are in a wonderfully,happy place now. When you are ready, I would love to hear from you. We are so sorry and so very sad. Our hearts go out to all of you. We are presently in FL and will not be able to personally be there for you and to pay our respects. First Scott & now Steve, it's too much to bear. We have such fond memories of their Little League, Jr. League and Sr. League days playing baseball in the Town of Poughkeepsie. We will always remember the good times. We had a nice converstion with Steve at Scott's wake and talked about how close they were. We encouraged Steve to stay strong and to take care of himself. We know he was going to try. We will be making a donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of Steve. Scott and Steve are together again. Love, Ernie & Cara Henkel

Steven will always be remembered to me as a fun and loving guy who always tried to put everyone but himself first. Steven has had many obstacles in life but always seemed to find a clear path back to normality. I am proud to have been able to share in some of his memories and pray that God will take special care of him. I feel confident that he is loved and that ROCKY (Puppy) is giving him 8 million kisses right about now!
